At Kingsteignton School, we provide a progressive, inspiring and challenging Design and Technology curriculum. Where appropriate, we use the Learning Challenge Curriculum to inspire our units, ensuring that each unit is purposeful and challenging. We encourage children to persevere throughout the varying challenges of the design, make and evaluating process. The varying units allow for children to take on the role of designer, inventor, chef, engineer and architect, considering the needs and wants of others. We encourage the children to take risks in their creativity, allowing them to become more resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable.
