Article 24 You have the right to the best health care possible, safe water to drink, nutritious food, a clean and safe environment, and information to help you stay well.
School meals are freshly prepared on the premises using quality ingredients.
Our menu includes a main and vegetarian option, sandwiches or baps, jacket potatoes and a dessert. Salad, vegetables and yoghurts are available daily.
Children choose their meal option in the morning to ensure they have their choice at lunch time.
Meals cost £2.30 per day and will be ordered each morning during registration. We ask that parents ensure there is money on their child's Arbor account and the cost will be taken when the meal is booked in class.
Supervision of the children during the lunchtime is undertaken by Play Leaders who are responsible to the Head of School. (If parents have any concerns about issues at lunchtime they should refer these to the Head of School and not individual Play Leaders).
We provide a wealth of exciting and motivating activities at break and lunchtimes. However if children’s behaviour causes us concern we will contact parents to discuss the issue. In extreme cases the right to remain on the school premises at lunchtime may be withdrawn and in such circumstances parents will need to take their children home for lunch.
A member of the teaching staff and a senior member of staff are on duty each lunchtime.
