The story of 'The Two Houses', is based on the parable of the 'Wise and Foolish Builders', and was brought to life this afternoon by 'Open the Book'. This parable teaches Christians that we are all builders, the house is our spiritual life and the salvation of our soul. Those that listen to and apply the teachings of the Bible are wise. They have built their spiritual life on a good foundation, the Lord Jesus Christ. When storms come they stand firm. The foolish builder does not listen to the words of Jesus. He ignores them, misinterprets them or misapplies them. He has no real foundation, and when the same troubles come, he finds he has nothing real to depend on.
